Hertfordshire County Showground

Run by the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society, The Hertfordshire County Show started as a ploughing match on the grounds of Hatfield House in 1879, becoming a full County Show 7 years later. Since 1962, it has been held at the Showground in Redbourn.

The problem:

Nestled between the A5183 and the M1, the site is far from any local exchange and until recently has not been eligible for fibre broadband. The site has up until nowsuffered with broadband speeds of less than 20mb. In order to modernise the showground and improve its visitor and trade offerings, they needed high speed broadband and Wi-Fi around the site.

The solution:

Countrifi worked with one of their key suppliers and Openreach in order to get a fibre broadband service delivered into the site. This in itself took nearly 6 months to complete which was then followed up with a site-wide high speed Wi-Fi solutionbeing implemented.
